The Saratoga Springs Housing Authority (NY) has closed their waiting list for the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher program. It was open till 11:59 pm, Friday, April 3, 2015. No date for a reopening after that.

All applications for the waiting list will be placed on the waiting list by date completed application is received. The waiting list has three subparts:
  1. Priority 1 - eligible applicants, resident of Saratoga Springs; need to prove at least 6 months residency or an honorably discharged veteran with proof of a DD-214 or active or a reserve veteran
  2. Priority 2 - past residents of Saratoga Springs with proof of previous residency
  3. Priority 3 - non-resident of Saratoga Springs



Preferences are veterans, resident of Saratoga Springs, work force, and domestic violence.


This is the first time the waiting list will have been closed, on April 3, 2015.
